Golf Strong Grip - Realizing You Need to Fix Your Grip to Fix Your Score

Arguably the most important part - or at least the most discussed one - of anyone's golf game is their grip. Usually, everyone - during their first try at golfing - never gets their grip on the golf club correct. There is no, one, EXACT way to hold and grip a golf club, but there are some steps you can take to ensure that you're gripping your club correctly.

The majority of golfing pundits out there who know what they're talking about agree that a strong, firm grip is a good one. You don't want to go and turn your knuckles white or anything, but in golf, strong grip is definitely a good thing.

Basically, you always want your hands to be turned more so to the right and underneath the club than anything else. This makes it easier for you to keep your clubs square throughout your entire swinging motion. Also, you should lose the tendency to roll the face open during the first couple feet of your swing stroke with this method as well.

If you want to hit the ball long and do so often, then a strong grip is certainly for you. In golf, strong grip is used primarily for the power hitters who's main strategies rely on them driving the bar as fall as humanly possible on each holes first shot.

Having a golf strong grip is certainly not the only way to go as there are many professional players with notoriously weak grips. But should you think your strategy lies more in hitting the ball farther and straighter than doing anything else particularly well, then it would behoove you to tighten up your golf strong grip more than it already is.

In the end, you just want to find what works for you and stick with it. Everybody plays golf and swings their clubs differently and it's no surprise that everyone grips their clubs differently as well. If it works, then keep doing it and if it doesn't than do everything you can to change it and change it correctly!
